When you plan
to give birth to a baby, there is a lot going in your mind. There are mixed
feelings of excitement and fear while the overall experience is overwhelming.
The first glance you have on your baby is a memorable moment. After months of
anticipation, finally, the delivery date is near. The due date is merely a
reference point as no one can predict the exact delivery date.
During the
first stage of labor, contractions become frequent, and the cervix starts
dilating. If contractions continue for a longer duration, you are admitted to
the hospital. In the next stage the cervix is completed opened and the doctors
start to push the little one propelling it to the birth canal. The placenta is
delivered, the organ that nourishes the baby in the womb. In the third stage,
the head starts to crown when it reaches the vaginal opening. In the final
stage the baby is delivered and once the baby is delivered, the umbilical cord
is cut.
The delivery
time of each mother varies from mother to mother.
